''Don't let anyone make you disappear.''

The first volumes were about their beginning, but now the Paris trip in this one is about Nick and Charlie coming out to their friends—and about how hard it is to tell the people you love your biggest secret.

I was so happy that the third volume of the Heartstopper series was just as beautiful, funny, and engaging as the first ones. The story is still sweet and gentle, but this time… it goes deeper. This volume isn’t just about two boys falling in love anymore—it’s about what it takes to keep that love when the world around you starts to close in.

Nick and Charlie are officially together now, and watching them try to figure out what that means made me feel genuinely moved. The tenderness, the awkwardness, the quiet moments where nothing is said but everything is felt—it’s all there, beautifully illustrated and so gently told.

But Volume 3 also explores some heavier, more serious themes. We see more of Charlie’s anxiety, more of Nick’s instinct to protect him, and the weight of what it means to be out—or not. And we come face to face with an eating disorder. The school trip setting gives the characters space to breathe, but it also opens the door to real-life challenges: bullying, secrecy, emotional pressure. It’s still a love story, but it’s no longer just about butterflies and holding hands. It’s about care, support, and navigating complex emotions while still trying to figure out who you are.

I adored how Nick keeps stepping up—not in big, dramatic gestures, but in the small, quiet, meaningful ways that truly matter. And Charlie… he’s still sweet and soft, but you can see the cracks starting to show.

The artwork continues to be adorable and expressive in all the right ways. I found myself pausing just to reread a look or a line that felt so honest and real. And the humor? Still here. Still charming. But Volume 3 definitely marks a turning point in the series—more emotion, more weight, and a growing sense that something bigger is building beneath the surface.

And now, I can’t wait to read the next volumes because after that ending, I’m so, so curious about what’s coming next! If you haven’t picked up Volume 3 yet, please do—it’s where the story starts to get real, and it’s absolutely worth it. You’ll love it!

    With love,
