"It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”-Albus Dumbledore

Somehow, summer has ended, and we find ourselves back at Hogwarts once again. But this time, after all the novels, short stories, and Harry Potter books, we now have this incredible Almanac.

This year, along with our “letter,” we received this stunning book. Allow me to say, it’s one of the most beautifully illustrated books I’ve ever seen.

The Almanac of the Wizarding World is, quite literally, a dictionary of Harry Potter. From magical creatures and Hogwarts traditions, to food, places, and wizards, it covers everything.

The illustrations are pure magic. They sparkle with such wonder that you feel as though you’re rediscovering Harry Potter for the very first time.

What amazed me most was discovering that there are multiple illustrators behind it. Each of them brought a unique and distinctive style to the pages, perfectly suited to their theme. Some illustrations felt especially magical, mystical, and breathtaking. I’ll share a few photos of my favorite pages below.

Honestly, I think this might be the most beautiful Harry Potter book ever published, apart from the famous pop-up editions. The illustrations made me feel as though I was reliving the story itself. I loved the concept so much that I read it in a single night, wide-eyed and astonished like a child.

What makes it truly special is that every single detail of the wizarding world is included. Nothing is left out. It explores the seasons at Hogwarts, the spells, the important exams, the Hogwarts houses, legendary wizarding families, magical artifacts... even the one who must not be named.

This is not a book you can rush through. Every page demands your attention, every illustration begs to be admired. To read it quickly would be to diminish its magic.

As a proud Gryffindor, I know I’ll cherish the Harry Potter books for the rest of my life. And as a lifelong fan, I believe Harry Potter is a story with no age limit. It’s something you should read as a child, revisit as an adult, and treasure in old age. Because true magic never fades. It lives within us.

So, I beg you: buy this book. Yes, it’s expensive. But after receiving it as a birthday present, I understood why. It’s worth every penny. I even made myself a promise: never a birthday without something Harry Potter themed. And if no one buys it for me, I’ll buy it for myself. That way, I’ll always remain a child who believes in magic.

Thank you for reading my review, darlings!

    With love,
