``He would not dishonor love by letting go. In the end, he chose to endure any pain rather than do that. Through the fire, as through the darkness, he held on.``

Ghosts of the Shadow Market by Cassandra Clare is an essential read for any Shadowhunter fan who has already devoured all the other books in this amazing universe! However, it’s best to read this collection only after you've finished all her previous works to avoid any spoilers. Each story within could reveal crucial details about the characters' lives.

Cassandra Clare's brilliant idea of compiling these tales creates a fascinating and comprehensive experience. This collection feels like a magical journey through her beautiful and mysterious world, which I love with all my heart.

Ghosts of the Shadow Market covers every aspect with meticulous detail and simplicity about every beloved character. I missed Jem, Tessa, Will, Jace, Clary, Magnus and Alec so much and so many others. It was like the good old times, reading again about their stories.

Some sequences brought back memories of my beloved characters, moving me deeply. I must admit, I had forgotten many details and even missed the detailed explanations and descriptions typical of a Cassandra Clare book. However, I recognize that this is the essence of the collection—capturing every nuance of the Shadow Market. I loved meeting new generations and new characters, but the melancholy hit when I met my old loved ones.

This huge book is a captivating addition to the Shadowhunter universe, offering fans an immersive and enriching experience. This collection of short stories delves deep into the enigmatic Shadow Market, revealing secrets and untold tales that significantly expand our understanding of this intricate world.

Reading this book felt like reconnecting with old friends and discovering hidden facets of their lives. Cassandra Clare, along with co-authors Maureen Johnson, Sarah Rees Brennan, Robin Wasserman, and Kelly Link, masterfully intertwines the past and present, weaving together narratives that feature beloved characters and introduce new ones. Each story is a treasure trove of lore, providing a rich backdrop to the Shadowhunter chronicles and shedding light on events that shape the main series.

Every page turned brought back a flood of emotions and memories of why I fell in love with this universe in the first place. The authors have created a tapestry of stories that not only deepen our connection to these characters but also enrich the entire Shadowhunter world.
